What is civil technology Diploma?
The curriculum includes courses in
Surveying, construction, civil drafting, mechanics of structures, project
management, concrete technology, soil mechanics, roads, bridges, docks,
harbors, highways, railways, airports, hydraulics, irrigation, etc.
The Department of Civil Technology is established to
train the students to have in-depth knowledge of Civil Engineer & enable
them to handle local and national construction projects. The curriculum is
designed by PBTE & TEVTA to facilitate the Associate ENgineers to develop
their capabilities by using modern techniques to solve technical problems &
utilize them in the construction projects of the Country.
What
is the job of civil technology?
Civil engineering technologists and
technicians help civil engineers to plan, design, and build highways,
bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure projects. They also help to plan,
design, and build commercial, industrial, residential, and land development
projects.
Is DAE equal to FA?
Yes, the Diploma of Associate Engineering has
been declared equivalent to the FA.
Why do we need to study civil technology?
It embraces practical
skills and the application of scientific principles. This subject aims to
create and improve the built environment to enhance the quality of life of the
individual and society and to ensure the sustainable use of the natural
environment.
Is a diploma holder called an engineer?
Diploma holders are
often called associate engineers or sub engineers in Pakistan. They can either
get employment or enroll in Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Engineering
degree programs for higher study.
